3rd Annual Shred Fest Recap

At this year’s ShredFest we shredded over 4 tons of paper for our clients and the public: 8,386.80 pounds, to be exact. Despite the fact that it was a very windy spring morning, we had an excellent turnout (hence the 4 tons of paper!) Attendees grazed on light breakfast fare while visiting the display tables for our 13 participating vendors. Healthy lifestyles, senior services, travel, tax information, antique appraising, community mentoring and youth programs, Chesapeake Bay oyster rehabilitation, insurance services and emergency services were all represented at this great event.
Once lunch time approached, Montia Rice, owner of Shore BBQ, served up some delicious BBQ pork sandwiches. This warm and delicious treat definitely helped ease the effects of the cold. Because of all the paper generated, we had to call in a second truck to shred the massive pile. Thanks to everyone who came to participate!
We would like to give a special thanks to our vendors for braving the cold to share your organizations’ wonderful information with our guests:
